It’s high time we and our conservative-constitutionally minded leaders got off our reactionary heels and attacked the root of the problem. Socialists who have taken over the Democrat party leaders have bamboozled their former supporters with empty promises and bags of fools gold. In reality they are the same slave masters they have always been. Powerful, smug, overconfident, self-righteous but in fact evil elitists who think the few (they) know better and deserve to meet out resources to the many. The only difference is they now want the entire nation, black and white to be their perpetual indentured servants, slaves to the new state élite.
Our prosperity message has to be one of deliverance from their bondage.

Is Raising the issue of Obama's eligability helpul or hurtful to the GOP?

Many Conservative commentators have been running scared of associating themselves with the Natural Born Citizen Clause issue. If they would be informed and just stick to the political issue of whether it would be helpful or not to the cause, their lack of promotion would be tolerable. getting their 'facts' from the camp of the enemy is not.
Review my slightly expanded letter sent to Talk Show host John Gibson and please feel free to pass this on to talk show hosts across the land and your friends. The arguments are very sound and address the most common talking points. This effort needs all your help. Grass roots requires each blade to do something. Will you take a few minutes and send this on today?

Subject: Factual errors in your section on Natural Born Citizenship question and GOP
As one of the initial people starting this movement, I say you raised a good question on your show about the NBC issue helping or hurting GOP chances in 2012. With over 50% of all Americans questioning or at least uncertain about the legitimacy of the President, I would argue that we have created a gut level visceral distrust that will count more against the president – some overtly but many more at a subliminal level.
I’m sorry given the volume of email you must get that this note isn’t a sound bite, but there are a number of good sound bites embedded herein!

Yes we will cause some to swing the other way, but many more will enter the debates already distrusting the man. It works well enough for the GOP to let us do the battle and let the GOP simply say “If Obama was as transparent as he promised ½ the nation would not be raising this question; When will Mr. Obama stop hiding his agenda on gun confiscation…” – and then change the subject to substantive issues. We do the damage, the GOP reaps the benefit but they have to ALWAYS turn it onto offence. Always merge the subjects and immediately attack the president for his hidden agendas. Its legit and very powerful as long as the candidates stay off their heels and attack.

This is a good debate to have but do get your facts straight and please don’t unfairly denigrate our position. Let me point out a couple of factual errors and key omissions made on your show last night (KTTH about 8:30pm PST).
Error/omission 1) Governor failed to find any hospital record. While some may speculate if a relative placed the notice, it was the practice to push that notice from the health department to the local newspapers as you pointed out. That makes the announcement redundant – not independent confirmation as some like Glen Beck have asserted. Trump is therefore to be excused repeating this as Glen and many others have voiced it. Trump is basically right though in that it only took one interested party, probably the supposed Grandmother, to fill out a form at the Health Department claiming a birth of a Hawaiian resident to create that infamous notation the Governor claims knowledge of to cause the announcement to be pushed to the newspapers. If the baby was born in a pickup truck, rather than a hospital, this is the same kind of record that could have been created. Astonishingly, in Hawaii, even an off shore birth could be registered as Hawaiian if one of the parents were claimed to have been a resident in Hawaii the previous year! That is the essence of Trumps statement. This is fundamentally why the Governor utterly and embarrassingly failed in his campaign promise to find the actual birth record. Apparently there is none - other than the notation in the record and that is why he failed.
Error/omission 2) Prophetic view or just an anchor baby. You created a paper tiger about motives, thinking no one would have any other reason to claim US citizenship for a foreign birth than some prophetic view of a future presidency. Ask any of the tens of thousands of anchor baby mothers if they can find a reason for establishing US citizenship! It may be more interesting than that, but it might not be any more complicated than that either.
Error/omission 3) White & Brown candidates challenged too. As a reporter/commentator, surely you know that many of our law suits named John McCain as well as Callaro as potential usurpers to the Presidency; none of the three having passed the NBC tests. You would also know that McCain was in fact challenged in Court over his status, only his case was heard unlike the dozens of cases against Obama which have all been sidestepped by judicial sleight of hand rather than an open court decision. Interestingly for the conspiracy minded, his lawsuit was dropped by the plaintiff just before the judge could actually rule…

Regarding the several cases that made it to the Supreme court for review, Justice Thomas who has advocated these cases, said of his colleagues, “We are avoiding that issue!” Many other Presidential and VP candidates over the years have been challenged in court and it was quite common in the past for the candidate to be required to show his Birth credentials to each state to be on the ballot in the 1st place. Racism is just a red herring used by real racists who can’t see beyond their own skin bias.

Error/omission 4) Parentage. Lastly and very importantly note that there are numerous lawsuits, several of which I had a personal hand in, that Justice Thomas tried to bring before the court that key off Obama’s sworn statements of his parentage – NOT his place of birth. George Washington and the other founders were quite concerned that a “Son of King George,” as it were, could be born on US soil, then by intrigue, be elevated to the presidency; his divided loyalties to then be exploited.

The Dual Citizen issue was of great concern hence the requirement for Natural Born Citizen Status. Some have attempted to water this down to just being “born here,’ but the clear intent was to avoid divided loyalties in the president if one or both of his parents had foreign loyalties inculcating those same foreign loyalties in the child; hence the statement “subject to the jurisdiction therein.” They also deemed it prudent that the child be born here, together with US citizen parents, to maximize the likelihood that the child be raised and acculturated in the local culture with singular loyalties.

John, The man acts like a foreigner with very questionable loyalties, raised abroad by a hodge-podge ‘family’ of known communists, coddled as a fatherless youth by communist poet Frank Marshall Davis, paid through school by foreign Islamic fascists, apprenticed and elevated to power in Illinois by communists terrorists and radicals like Ayers and mentored for decades by “God Damn America” politically driven preachers like Wright, who now bows to foreign royalty and conducts internal policies like the socialist/communists he trained under. He was a stealth candidate with no appreciable voting record, no writings from his law school days to review, sealed records from every institution of record, the briefest of published health records and to keep these empty list brief not even school buddies with any memory of him. This is simply unprecedented - the man is a ghost!
John, Mr Obama seems to be in very deed King George’s revenge - at last.

Public School Funding

School Funding

School Funding has been a controversial issue as it is too often accomplished via long term debt burdens paid for by taxpayers and land owners. The controversies often arise when the state fails to follow the state’s constitutional provisions to fund schools 1st or at least as a high priority. What has been happening under the years of Democrat single party rule is that critical monies have been allocated 1st to other vote getting social programs leaving schools and emergency protection to their own devices to raise funds through additional voluntary levies. I say in quotes “voluntary” because when the super majority speaks, it is no longer voluntary!

Until we can recreate at least a two party system in our state and establish real conversation on this matter in Olympia, we are left to resolve matters on our own.

1) We must continue to push back – even suing the state as need be for failure to allocate funds per the priority outlined in the constitution. Bailing Olympia out for our every need should be after that fails. With the construction of the massive Ridge project, those thousands of new homes delivered millions of new $ . The state should have plenty of resources to build new infrastructure as truly needed based on the existing property tax base - as long as it is actually allocated as the constitution already demands!

2) We must share resources as much as possible to stretch out the time to when more infrastructures would be truly required. Issaquah High has just very prudently expanded “UP” . It is certain, based on the very large expansion of that project, that excess student capacity exists at that school. This option should have been addressed in all those effusive propaganda puff pieces that came our way in the last week or so. Is there any solid reason why inter district transfers of students should not be possible just as many of our students attend BCC for “Running Start?” That would defray our immediate needs and reduce the un-occupied liability of Issaquah's new addition; a win-win for both districts.

3) We should use our land resources frugally building UP not OUT. New schools mean new non-teaching administrators and staff. That's bad. They mean new boilers and new gyms and and and- Oh yes we must have NEW Astro-turf right???

What I mean by building Up vs. Out is to do a similar retrofit or rebuild to 4 story structures just like Issaquah did. There are even companies that specialize in erecting multi-story right over the old existing structures for additional savings.

They set their own piling/foundation structures to support the loads without touching the existing building/foundation. In the end it all looks like a seamless structure. I understand that some settling has occurred at Mt Si – this is often best addressed by concrete high pressure jacking. Alternately tear down a wing at a time and rebuild. There are established techniques to build multi story buildings on reclaimed swamp land – these are just engineering details. Don’t let anyone tell you it can’t be done. Bottom line – there are other alternatives to making a new school.

4) Studies and tradeoffs should be published and presented to the public for review – The school board has acted as if we were more children to be spoon fed the information they want us to hear – the finished assertion. When the news article in the Valley Record quoted administration’s concern over an aging boiler that needed “frequent repair” – they should show the numbers of why buy vs. repair is going to be cheaper. Sorry I don’t trust drinking the government Kool-aid nor what the building department wants to spoon feed us. Give us the facts, show us the trade off – you pushed this ballot to our doors – how about promoting a web site with some real detail. It is not fair to demand that we as individuals tooth-pull this info-documentation – the school board should be proactive. Currently they are not – only working with a small hand picked committee. Outreach 1st to the wider community or expect push-back.

5) Don’t try to bully us with insipid focus on handicap ramps and overstuffed bologna about the safety bugaboo. That’s just window dressing .

6) Somehow we got by without Astroturf. Sports programs in general are a waste of taxpayer money and have no bearing on education. If community soccer leagues are tearing up the grass then let them pay for the Astroturf. Anyway, somehow I don’t think Chinese, Indian, Korean and the 99.99@ of other schools around the world have such extravagance and they are cleaning our scholastic clock while we force feed a dumbed down education chock full of social indoctrination too often aimed at making a new generation of good dependent Democrats.

7) It’s all about the parents – not the schools. In Utah they spend about the least per capita, but their High School and College graduation rates are tops. If we get back to basics and include parents intimately in the education process we will excel too. Fancy electronic whiteboards and computer labs do not make us more competitive on the global market. In fact it is just dumbing us down to a culture of information gatherers and fancy formatters rather than students with deep understanding.

8) The schools are totally failing to teach comprehensive US history. The US constitution and world geography, history and core science are getting scant treatment and often skewed to the political persuasion of the teacher. Reading the amendments can be a one day deal but a week will be spent on junk politically motivated global warming. Sometimes that persuasion has also been one of immorality and socialist/communist indoctrination. Get back to basics! Quit looking for some quick techno-fix. Purge the personal politics. Remove the few offending teachers that are giving public school a bad name. Stop promoting homosexuality and other society destroying lifestyles and it will be much easier to part with more money to the system; seeing its success in supporting family in our goal to educate our students.

RE: Orly Taitz petition for redress of grievance in behalf of Army Captain Connie Rhodes denied hearing by Supreme Court 1/10/2011

In 1776 when our founders penned their list of grievances one of the most prominent and repeated was the failure of King George to allow petition to government for redress of grievance. It is unlikely the United States would have ever come into being were it not for their frustration with the deaf ear turned to the colonists by the English courts and the king.

This day will be added to a growing list of grievances issued one day to a government sunk back to tyranny like a dog to his vomit. When a person or his lawyer is rejected for so called lack of standing (that's an unconstitutional device that denies your right to redress of grievance.); when on a single case, the petitioner is threatened or in fact charged with financial penalties for daring to petition the government - then the day of liberty is over and King George will finally have had his revenge.

Come to think of it, Mr. Obama claims (with no proof I hasten to add) that his father was a British citizen, so in a very real way ol' King George finally did get his revenge - placing a British subject on the American throne.

No wonder he rules like one.

American parent(s)?, No American birth certificate? -> No American respect. The Usurper from 'who knows where' must go.

The guilty always sees their opponents through their own lenses. The liar assumes all lie and the purveyor of racist hate speech thinks all others speak from the same motivations as they. When a left wing anarchist, no friend of any conservative cause, took out his rage on the congresswoman and the nearby crowd, the radical left can’t even wait for the ambulances to unload before aggressively shifting their guilt to every talk show host they hope to silence. Shame on the blamers for taking common figures of speech that all parties have used to try and to now virtually accuse republicans of murder. That vitriol is exactly what Hitler used to shift the blame from that famous fire to the Jews as a pretext for his nefarious agenda. When the Democratic Socialist Party of Germany took power in the 20s– it demands a passivated population and that means a powerless, dependent population. One of their first moves was to confiscate the people’s weapons – for the safety of the children of course!
Weapons for personal protection are already so rare now in public settings that godless psychopaths know they will have no opposition as they slaughter at Columbine, Virginia Tech, Fort Hood, our own 4 officers and now the disaster at Tucson, Arizona. You can thank the gun banners for that. Our founding fathers could not have prophesied better our day then when they wrote the following:

Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. In other words Gun Free Zones are simply Free Killing Zones.

If the good citizens of Tucson at that gathering had been commonly armed instead of being neutered by fear of reprisal, this horrid mischief and the other tragedies would have been greatly mitigated – perhaps prevented as most of these crazies are demonstrated cowards.

Citizens, We must trust in the greater virtue of the people. That is what we have almost lost. We will yet lose our free society if we don’t believe in each other. A free society depends on the virtue of its people – otherwise a police state like the Democratic Socialists of Germany tried to create will be our end.

Our founding fathers understood that our vast population was made of good and virtuous individuals and that was the basis for a free society. The body of the people are the significant policing force, not just the few dressed in blue.

WA state laws have made it very difficult for the honest citizen to legally carry in a variety of places, open or otherwise and the criminals and the criminally insane know it; hence "Gun Free Zones" are nothing more than "Free killing zones." When you need the police in 3 seconds they are only 3 minutes away. Great!

Likewise at Fort Hood, and Virginia Tech and Columbine it was rules and restrictions and short sighted gun bans that set the stage and invited the utter human carnage. It was the Lawmakers who failed to place their trust in the people that virtually lined up the victims and pulled the trigger.
The Constitution preserves "the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation...(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."-- James Madison: The Federalist #46.

It is time that our government stop acting afraid and return the power to the people and trust the body to assist in policing ourselves. If that madman who recently attacked the unsuspecting police was just as wary of every patron in the diner as the men in blue a far different outcome would have been. If that terrorist traitor at Fort Hood knew he was walking into a likely wall of return fire, he would never have even attempted. If the crazy man from Virginia knew when he locked that door that he would be killed after the 1st few shots by fellow students virtuously defending the innocent, he might have just dispatched himself and been done with his internal misery.
There is every reason to believe in your fellow man. Statistics show that the police are more likely to misuse their weapons than those with concealed carry as we know we will be held to the fire with no mercy or support if we misuse. On the whole, we are very careful.

Another "Gun Free Zone" Tragedy.

Apparently it’s not enough for our government that the heroes in America’s armed forces risk their lives overseas defending our freedom.

These days, our soldiers aren't even safe here at home stationed on secure military bases.

On November 5th, a lone gunman murdered 13 fully-trained, ready to deploy soldiers, and wounded 29 more, in the most shocking terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.

How was Nidal Hasan, a psychologist, able to take down so many trained soldiers? Because the government thinks its better to keep it’s armed service members unarmed . . .

That’s right. Our military men and woman are banned from carrying the weapons they are trained and trusted to use in the heat of combat.

President Clinton authored this asinine policy back in 1993 when he declared all military bases “Gun Free Zones.”

As you know, “Gun Free Zones” do nothing but assure criminals, and now terrorists, that they will find unarmed victims defenseless against a homicidal rampage.
Maybe I’m crazy, but I’d rather the soldiers delivered a barrage of bullets to end Hasan’s attack the second he opened fire.

I’d rather Hasan was dead and the heroes he murdered were still alive.

But because of Clinton’s ingenious policy of an unarmed armed forces, this psychopath methodically executed soldier after soldier before a local traffic cop could arrive on the scene.

If we didn't have “Gun Free Zones” and our armed forces were . . . I don't know . . . ARMED, Nadir Hasan would have met bullets instead of bodies.

On this Veteran’s Day, remember that the safety of our armed forces is of paramount importance whether it’s on the battlefield or here at home.

We saw the 1^st crack in the Socialcrat dam this week. Thank God and a lot of your hard work. In the last few months we have seen the largest gathering of Americans EVER and it was us!!!!

Here are a few things you can do this week:

1) SUPERBOWL OF FREEDOM called for tomorrow 11/4 Washington Steps of the Capital facing the Monument. Just come! If you cant make it tomorrow, then Friday or Saturday go to their offices and talk to the staff and your reps. THIS IS the GAME. If you cannot travel then go to your local offices in person. If you cannot go in person then call. This is not the time to expect someone else to do the work. This is your work to do. Each and every one of us must make the effort to prevail.

2) Stay in the game; Sign the National Petition Opposing Socialized
ObamaCare

3) Keep contacting your representatives; one each week. Be in their faces in email, snail-mail and in their offices. It does make a difference. A real easy way to get your letters to your senators and your State reps came my way. friendsoftheuschamber I used it and it was REAL EASY and saved my time. I used it to send a sharply worded letter about healthcare and cap-n-tax. Open Letter to Congress:
Congressional Republicrats, Socialcrats and hardened communist-democratic traitors in Congress. Do not throw away our greatness and sovereignty for international controls of energy and neo-communist control of healthcare. I strongly urge you to oppose H.R. 3962,

For a tiny fraction of the proposed bloated government takeover, you could fund insurance vouchers for the poor and frankly the illegal’s should be deported. Anyway healthcare cost are rising because we keep inventing new technology and people want it; not because of out of control insurance companies. Cost containment would be best served by eliminating state restrictions to interstate insurance offerings. That is the only constitutionally valid regulatory action you should take. The job was to "Make Regular" The phrase was never meant to be a ticket to manage the trade! Your actions since WW2 are a total abuse of the constitutional powers sustained by horrible decisions during war time - the same court that interned the Japanese Americans.

It is the utmost hubris and play-God arrogance for congress to assume that it can manage healthcare or any other aspect of our economy. If you get the hell out of the way, the people will prosper. Didn’t you learn anything from the USSR or the dismal health care situation in Canada and other nations that used to be free?

You stood by and in the case of some members actually caused the housing crisis that precipitated the economic trials. You, the congress, through action or milk toast inaction are the responsible parties. You enabled Fanny and Freddy and Urban Development goals. You congress are 100% responsible. Do you think we trust you to micro-manage 20% of the economy. Are you completely power mad?

If you manage to pass this leap to communist control of health care, I will be the 1st of many to instantly sue to stop your unconstitutional abuse of federal power. I will work tirelessly to defeat you at the polls and I will work to have you recalled for failure to defend the constitution.

You Got that! I and millions of Americans; real Americans, like the over million of us who set the record for marches on Washington recently are going to be in your face.

Get the hell out of our lives. Is that plain enough?

In short, your unconstitutional power grabbing intervention will make a bad situation worse, at great costs to the nation in jobs, taxes, and freedom.

I strongly urge you to oppose H.R. 3962.

Regarding a [gay] Day of Silence protest carried out in the public Schools.

The claim is ‘Gays are bullied’, but there is precious few examples of the feigned persecution worthy of such extreme unrelenting remedy. We have endured this never ending, in your face pressure to see this abhorrent behavior as normative, but not just normal, but acceptable and not just acceptable but worthy of promotion . There are clubs and rallies and parades and press releases and days of protest and unnecessary gratuitous injection of gay gay gay in a large majority of movies. Enough!

Those of us who do not want this constant brainwash object to our public schools being used as surrogate soldiers in a long siege on the morality of our people. If there was obvious goodness in this lifestyle, it might be harder to object, but the demonstrated badness of this lifestyle begs a stern rejection and demands the airing of the true facts; that homosexuals are 10 times more likely to molest your child or youth; that if your youth practices homosexuality, he/she is 4 times more likely to commit suicide and that remains true even in European societies that overtly embrace this lifestyle (so much for the bullying argument), that promiscuity is rampant in this lifestyle and is primarily responsible for the plague of AIDS.
It matters not whether the tendency is innate or learned. Men may naturally be attracted to many women, but it is judged bad for society and bad for the individuals to pursue such passions and so we shun that behavior. This day of silence is nothing more than another tactic in the unrelenting assault on our collective common sense. I reject that homosexuality should be promoted as either normative or alternative. I say speak out now against the being silent.

This is obvious: These Gun Free Zones = Free Killing Zones, Easy Target Zones, Sitting Duck Zones. One thing is for sure, they are not Safe zones.

It's high time you exerted your influence to restore our teachers and principals rights to defend the defenseless so that even as our airline pilots may now be armed in defense of their charges that so may the School administrators and staff be allowed the option to stand in defense of ours.

Once again our nation is battered with the horrific news of a madman-terrorist wrecking death and mayhem. The terrorist, unbridled and with impunity slaughtered the defenseless because they have been made so by a society that no longer trusts its own. We have forgotten and abandoned the common sense of our Founding Fathers:

Right to Gather in Peace vs Free Speach

Letter to KVI Radio: John Carlson & Ken Schram
John, Ken, You where pounding each other on KVI radio the other day regarding what to do about protesters at funerals. I was on hold with the unifying voice of reason to answer the quandary of how to avoid Ken's free speech slippery slope while respecting the mourners rights. Unfortunately you-all ran out of time yelling at each other. This program's communication mode of fast talking slam and filibuster is getting boring but let me now point out why the supreme court will likely side against the protesters.

Neither of you observed that in the same 1st amendment as "free Speech" it also states an even more compelling right that doesn't get much air time "the right of the people to peaceably assemble." Without that you could not even gather in a gym. Neither the Boy Scouts nor the NAACP would would be safe from the intrusion of government edicts and interventions. That, I dare say, is even more important than the right to use the public square. In this case it creates a competing interest - both of which are protected constitutional rights. There is a right to gather peacefully - (both to not disturb the peace nor to have the peace of your gathering disturbed) and it is from that right that the so called "right to privacy" is derived.

Simple, fair laws are already in place in all cities that can be applied or extended to address this competing interest. It is because of that right that a public conveyance like city streets or a city owned convention center can be rented or otherwise allocated by permit for exclusive use on a temporary basis. In this case, the area of "rental" or allocation is the cemetery and some length of road used by the procession could be included that would allow unimpeded and exclusive access for their private affair. Think of the area like a convention center that you can have exclusive, even guarded access too. Laws prohibiting the "Disturbance of Peace" or trespass could be applied in any of the permit covered areas.

This does an end run around the mourners sensibilities vs.. the amendment argument by casting the issues on equal competing constitutional grounds and resolves the conflict by simple policy formulation. By using the permit for a temporary gathering, it sidesteps the whole abortion clinic argument altogether. Very tidy.

Our founding fathers understood that there would always be a few evil men but that the vast - vast majority – were decent folks. They also understood that rather than a massive police state, a virtuous society could and would largely police itself provided the populous was armed.

Unfortunately laws of late have codified an increasing abandonment of faith in the virtue of the people. Just last year Virginia congress voted down a proposed law that would have returned the right of permitted individuals to protect themselves on campus. It is obvious, it is undeniable that if only a tiny fraction of the 30,000 good students on campus had been armed as the constitution allows at very least this tragedy would have been greatly mitigated – perhaps even avoided.

The founding fathers knew this. Thomas Jefferson wrote “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... To restore faith in the general virtue of the people, we should on one hand have a national database mitigating weapon access for all individuals deemed dangerous by any judge and even more importantly we should eliminate these dangerous “Gun Free Zones.” In a free state, when the people are prohibited from any meaningful self defense, these are nothing but “Free Killing Zones”. Washington and Jefferson had faith in the virtue of the people. I join them in believing in you.

Anti-War Protesters are Decidedly Anti-American

Dear Editor
The anti-war Democrats keep complaining that about being accused as non-patriotic or seditious. Up ‘til now, their feigned complaints were almost entirely warrantless but were strategically designed to preemptively squelch even the potential for such an accusation. Nevertheless, the Democrat cut-n-run pronouncements have without a doubt emboldened both the enemy without and the now strident enemy within. Captured communications from Iraq as well as daily broadcasts and internet postings from our enemies call the Democrat victory at the polls THEIR victory. Anti-American protesters in Seattle and Portland seditiously burned and trampled our flag and shockingly even burned a US soldier in effigy. This clearly demonstrates that the Islamo-fascist enemies have captured the hearts and minds of the liberal left. There was only locked arms of solidarity rather than self censure of the “F-the-Troops” banners. In my own neighborhood, this week a community presentation of US flags and a non-political “Thanks for Your Service” was torn down and thrown into a muddy ditch. This is the Democrat legacy, if not treason, then sedition and if the Democrats don’t nip this monster in the bud right now it’s going to tear our community apart and leave a legacy of stink and shame, the stench of which has not reached my nostrils since the atrocious treatment dished out to our boys returning from Vietnam. Newspapers and politicians have dissented from every war we have ever fought including our own revolution; that we tolerate. This despicable trend, if it is one, will not be tolerated and I call on our community to support and defend our troops even if you are one who can’t see the virtue of the mission they are called upon to do.

http://www.gatheringofeagles.org/ This is a great organization has begun counter-protests and had 30,000 folks show up recently for a rally at DC. They are worth plugging into. Here is a short clip from their home page:
“As Reagan said, ‘the problem with liberals is that they know so much that isn’t true.’ The Left has a different script for the war in Iraq, a script for defeat, just like Vietnam. It’s rotten and wrong and the Left has handcuffed itself to this doomsday scenario. They want to lose out of perversity while we want to win out of patriotism and the desire to lift up the world into freedom. The Left isn’t up to that kind of heavy lifting.”

The battle is right here and right now. You can call in to talk radio, write letters, participate partnered with a ghost writer and show up at a rally. Boots on the ground are what turns the tide and bemoaning what is happening without action is worthless.

Along the In Preston-Fall City road, for a number of years, some thoughtful soul has been decorating a rock retaining wall with themes of the season, patriotic bunting and for the last while a banner that said generally “Thanks for Serving.” Business adds and political acrimony has been thankfully kept from this positive addition to our community – until recently that is , when increasingly strident protests began their attack here in our home town.
In our day when controversy causes some to question our nation’s direction in the prosecution of our war with terrorism, it’s opponents have been vocally hypersensitive about being labeled unpatriotic. Well, one of these “patriotic” individuals tore down this home brew monument last week and trampled our nation’s flags and the thank-you into a muddy ditch.
If you thought the shamefully treatment of our soldiers by anti-war protesters in the days of Vietnam was a thing of the past, think again. The stench of that foul treatment is beginning again. The shameful banners and the burning of a US soldier in effigy in Portland recently was shocking but know this. it starts by tolerating seditious acts and overlooking it, in the name of tolerance, rather than vigorously condemning it and calling it what it is – anti-American and clear aid and comfort to the enemy. I did what I could to restore the presentation and I invite everyone in the community to improve and to guard this positive affirmation of our great nation and those who sacrifice and in some cases risk their lives in other’s behalf, be it soldiers, our local police and firefighters or the virtual army of volunteers across our land.

Consider this mathematical concept that relates key human behaviors in a gospel context. It begins with the basic concept of a desire for some fairness in some aspect.

Listed are a few examples, though the concepts are extensible to many others:

Remuneration ($)

Revenge

Forgiveness

Work or Chores

Favors

…..

The equation is most enlightening:

We begin by a simple inequality and then expand with more refinements that improve the modeling. Consider the following example with chores (C) as the main variable. If you felt that each person should share an equal load, then as long as your(y) workload is less than or equal to others(o) then a sense of equity is maintained

Cy <= Co

If you have a sense of Altruism(Ay) are willing to do some percent of excess and still feel OK about the arrangement then we modify the equation as follows:

Cy <= AyCo

For example if my Ay is 2 ie I am still OK working 2x as the other.

Cy <= 2Co

This means that as long as I am working no more than twice as hard as the other person, then I am still OK with that and my sense of equity is still maintained.

Then, (THIS is KEY) we must acknowledge that the natural man often Perceives(Py) his own contributions in excess of actuality(> 1), whereas we can never know or Perceive(P) the real extent of others work. I, for example can seldom appreciate all the work your Mom does unless I was bird-dogging her all day long. Therefore my Perception(Po) of her work will always be less than 1. Therefore, perceived equity (from your perspective) is achieved when we modify the equation as follows:

CyPy <= AyCoPo : Where Py>>Po

This means that since your perception of your own work generally exceeds reality, you need to work harder than you perceive to actually hold your own end up. Conversely, since the other actually works harder than your perception could ever likely reveal, they would have to work far harder than would actually be equitable before you ever perceived them as pulling a fair share of effort.

The actual relationship of Py=PkPo might easily have a Perception(k) value of 2-10; mine is probably around 5. Substituting we get:

CyPy <= AyCoPo ; Py=PkPo

Cy(PkPo) <= AyCoPo

CyPk <= AyCo

Cy <= (Ay/Pk) Co

If my perception ratio Pk is 5 and my Altruism factor Ay is 2 then

Cy <= 2/5Co then

Cy 2.5 <= Co

Forget the altruism part and you get

Cy 5 <= Co

This means that the other person would have to work 2.5 – 5 times harder than you in actuality before you ever perceived that they were pulling their fair share!!!!

Consider the implication for forgiveness. This means if the same ratios held, you’d have to forgive the other person 5 times more than seems tit for tat before actually achieving equity. No wonder Jesus told us not to judge, forgive without limit etc.
